Isopropyl Alcohol

The local bike collective uses IPA as their quick degreaser, and I felt kind of dumb that I hadn’t thought of it before.

Less expensive, messy and toxic than many other choices. It won’t eat through the really tough muck by itself, but you might be surprised how much a little IPA and a rag can take care of.

Now I start with IPA, then dawn power wash, then simple green before breaking out the nasties.
